The name TUDOR has been synonymous with photography for more than 50 years in the UK. Its public profile was perhaps at its highest during the late 1960s and 1970s. With one of the largest processing laboratories in the UK, the TUDOR Rose was a common sight in the high streets of Britain.

TUDOR exhibited at PhotoKina (the world’s largest show for the photo industry) for the first time in 1976. As a result of this activity, and continually exhibiting there since then, It successfully established a network of customers for its Film, Paper and Chemical products across much of Africa and the Middle East.

In April 2009 TUDOR sold its domestic photo business to Swains International Plc Hunstanton, the UK’s leading wholesaler for photo and imaging goods. The export division (Tudor Export Ltd) was unaffected by the sale, and has continued to operate under the management of Robert Carr and John Armstrong. The separation of the business has enabled us to bring a sharp focus on export markets, resulting in closer customer relationships

All TUDOR films and papers are kept in a controlled environment in warehousing in Bedford UK. The administration and logistics functions are overseen by Simon Hubbard. For full details of our film and paper please click on the Product page
